International Conference on Smart City Innovation (ICSCI)

Building on the success of previous ICSCI events held in Bandung (2018), Semarang (2019), Bali (2020), Bali (2023) and Jakarta (2025) - Online, the 4th International Conference will be held in Bali, Indonesia. Organized by Smart City Universitas Indonesia in conjunction with the Quality in Research (QiR) Conference, this event aims to provide an international forum for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange innovative ideas, research findings, and practical experiences related to the development of smart and sustainable cities.

Theme for 2026 The conference adopts Smart and Sustainable City as its main theme, emphasizing the integration of technological innovation, governance, and sustainability principles in urban development. The event theme, Smart Governance and Technology-Driven Urban Transformation for Sustainable and Resilient Cities, highlights the critical role of governance frameworks and digital technologies in shaping future-ready urban environments. To support this focus, the conference covers the following sub-themes:

• Social Innovation and Data-Driven Policy for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
• Urban Transformation toward Smart, Safe, and Inclusive Cities
• Strengthening Urban Resilience through Smart and Sustainable City Approaches
• Smart Governance and Technology in Planning Sustainable Urban Forms

The conference will invite keynote speakers with international reputations and welcome contributions from scholars and professionals across universities, government institutions, the private sector, and other relevant organizations. Participants are encouraged to submit original research papers that address theoretical advancements, empirical studies, and practical implementations related to smart and sustainable urban development.
